About me

I'm a TTRPG editor, story-driven role-player, and aspiring GM who loves nothing more than making characters flavor-first, mechanics-second. I love fae nonsense, games that balance good humor and serious storytelling, and a supportive table.

GM Guthrie

Played 101 sessions

I've been playing in a weekly campaign with Guthrie for over a year, and every week is a delight. One of the first things I tell people about him is that our first session was THE most comfortable first session I've ever been in. He's laid-back, friendly, welcoming, and WILDLY creative. I actually had a very similar experience to another reviewer in that I was hammering out character and backstory details right up until the start of the session, and with barely a half hour's heads up, Guthrie integrated everything and was able to play my PC's estranged husband with empathy and grace. Guthrie balances that empathy with humor, but he's also aware of the stakes and maintains suspense. His ability to "yes, and" is unmatched; he actively works to make sure that players get their moments to Do Cool Shit (and makes sure they feel cool doing it); and his table is both queer- and neurodivergent-friendly. I would highly recommend him to beginners and experienced players alike—anyone who enjoys a good story.
