Robert is a great GM for Shadowrun. If you haven't ever played SR but are curious about it, Robert's game is for you. He knows the rules, but is able to flex them so the story and game session keep moving forward instead of bogging down. Since SR is so crunchy this is a great attribute in my opinion. It allows his games to have the satisfying crunch that draws lots of people to the game as well as being a narrative blast to participate in. His table is filled with great graphics and music as well and he clearly puts in time on the story to make it interesting and fun.
Herbie really has fun while GMing and that is infectious. He checks in and makes sure the players are enjoying various aspects of the game and 'mini-games' that are sometimes part of Pathfinder APs. His Foundry set up is really nice and he has a strong command of it so the game flows easily. In the game I am in he has a mix of Pathfinder 2e Experts, Beginners, and returning players and he's got us all engaged and having fun.
There is a lot of variability in Professional GMs but Cai is in the top 10% of the ones I've encountered. He sets the stage well and keeps the game moving, but allows the players to really be the prime movers of the story. He knows when to use a Tactical Map and when to just use a backdrop with Theatre of the Mind which is key for non-Dungeon crawl games. If you are a beginner in the systems he's GMing you can feel confident that he'll help you get your feet under you and you'll have a good time as you learn the system rather than feel stressed that you don't know something.
Weaver is a super fun GM! She really listens to the players and makes the game fun for everyone and doesn't railroad the session even while running a set module. Some GMs would turn that into a run on rails experience and Weaver is able to flex with character choices and allow the PCs to talk through encounters clearly designed to be combat only. I regret I only got to participate in one session before life got in the way. I will book again for sure!
