I've played a few sessions in Alucair's homebrew setting of Ebonridge so far, and we have had a lot of fun exploring the dark catacombs beneath the city, digging up secrets of the past and tussling with teleporting rats, exploding corpses and ravenous zombies. Our party has some unusual characters, including a psychic ghost and a flaming skeleton kineticist. Alucair is very open to his players dipping into some of the many weird and wonderful uncommon and rare character options that Pathfinder 2e has to offer. Even with all the oddities and variety in their builds and options, our characters are all having a hard time; the combat encounters have been tricky so far, with a sudden character death having already happened last session. It was handled well, and a new character quickly introduced in a way that made sense before the session was even over. Alucair makes his own maps for Foundry and I can tell he puts a lot of work into them, and the world that we are slowly working to uncover seems deep and very interesting. I definitely can't fault him for a lack of effort or variety. If you enjoy interesting worldbuilding, good NPC voices, dark (but not depressing) themes, access to unusual character options, tricky combat and fun dungeoneering then definitely try one of Alucair's games!
