Leland is a skilled and creative GM with a talent for "herding cats" and treating players with kindness, good humor, and respect. He creates a compelling narrative that avoids railroading, allowing for open interaction and ample role-playing. Combat moves along quickly and each encounter not only feels like you are in a fight that a challenge, but also feels like the choices you make in combat have real consequences. I have been playing RPGs for decades now (I am an old man) and have rarely encountered a GM with such a clear talent for balancing elements of the game. DND has always had a strong emphasis on combat and Leland certainly ensures that you get your opportunity to fight for your life. But he also gives room for roleplay that provides a narrative and promotes character development. It is worth noting that Leland is welcoming to the LGBTQ+ players. His ability to get a diverse group of players to meld into a cohesive and working (if somewhat chaotic) party of characters is extraordinary. I highly recommend any game he offers.

He keeps the game moving at a quick pace, mixing opportunities for social RP with combat. He has a talent for creating bad guys that you love to hate. I've found myself getting really involved and immersed in the world he creates.
