Tom is a fantastic Game Master. As the person who introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons many years ago, I’ve had the pleasure of watching him grow into a master of his craft, weaving exciting narratives, building elaborate worlds, and bringing an infectious, contagious enthusiasm to the table. He knows the rules inside and out and is excellent at thinking on his feet, but I think his best quality by far is simply the way he tells stories. You can tell, when Tom is at the helm, that he’s excited just to be crafting a tale together with the players—and that excitement naturally spreads to the rest of the table. He has this way of hyping up dramatic moments and encounters that I think is unparalleled (every fight, from a low-level skirmish with goblins to an endgame encounter with an apocalyptic undead dragon, can feel like the most intense scenario ever when Tom’s GMing), and the clear investment he has in the world and the characters will make you want to get invested too. His roleplaying is superb, he’s welcoming to new players, and he brings an electric spirit, warmth, and sense of humor to the table that you won’t find many other places. Roll dice with this guy, you won’t regret it.
