About DM Tom
Hi, I'm Tom, I've been a DM for almost twenty years now, and I've been running games for an ever-expanding group of friends in the community built and driven world of Theras since 2009. I'm proud to have volunteered for Hope for the Warriors from 2021-2024, in that time running games for The Lucky Seven (levels 1-20 in 100+ games over 4 years!), The Stank Squad (three adventurous seasons!), and their Spelljammer cousins The Freshly Scrubbed Clean Gang. I have dozens of completed campaigns that I would love to shout out here, from Rock Bottom Crew to TIGER MAFIA, LLC to many many more. Instead, however, I'll invite you to join one of our games and find your spot in our community! How DM Tom runs games
I enjoy running character driven stories and allow for many roleplay moments. I can use a lot of character voices, and I will positively encourage players to do the same, but it isn't totally necessary. I plan to pace for about one encounter per hour, and while I try to include at least one combat in every game, when the exploration, roleplay, and puzzles allow for it sometimes we won't fight. I love exploring the planes and have extended experience with Planescape. I have run almost every 5th edition WotC adventure and many third party books as well.
