I was dropped into the middle of one of Ito's games at the reccomendation of one of the other players with the warning that it would be a lot of reading, a warning I extend to you as well assuming you're looking into one of his homebrew campaigns. Having said that once you have read the house rules, dug through the several hundred pages of available abilities, spells and talents what you get is the ability to build whatever character you've been thinking of, how you've been thinking of them, and a seat at a table with a DM who has a world he clearly cares for with characters and societies that have real interests and goals beyond surviving whatever form of crisis the plot is taking. It's a wild ride, you're probably going to miss stuff, but I wouldn't trade the time I've spent there for anything.
