We've been playing Rime of the Frostmaiden (D&D 5e) for a while now and our GM has been great throughout! Plenty of interesting storytelling and world-building to be had along with a lot of room for the players to roleplay and express themselves creatively. I also know that they're into other TTRPGs such as Masks: the New Generation and Thirsty Sword Lesbians, so there's plenty of diverse experience under their belt. This particular game, they held a holiday event that would let you put in "naughty" or "nice" encounters into the game. We had a Christmas treant help us with a particularly elusive BBEG and then had some Gingerbread Mean Cookies come to life and attack us. Those sorts of whimsical and unique events happen so often as part of the main story, but I wanted to illustrate these recent examples to show how limitless their creativity is. So much fun to be had!
