This was my very first Dungeons and Dragons game, so I had no idea what to expect or what I was doing. It didn't take long for me to realized how incredibly lucky I was to get Derrick as my first experience with a DM. As soon as I applied for one of his games, he personally reached out to me to help by giving me pointers on how to create a character and how to play. We are now 8 weeks into this campaign, and I must say, I'm hooked. Derrick has masterfully brought our party of some new players and some veterans together and made us all feel included like valuable members of the team. He has personally messaged me on many occasions to plan and discuss points of character backstory and development. As a storyteller and character builder at heart, Derrick immediately saw my vision for my player and gave me the exact tools and segways to get there. I could not recommend him any more.
