As a first-time player (51yo) The GM had me at ease, gave me time to adjust to the rules, and was very helpful with remembering my character strengths, his storytelling was awesome, and his own character voices used were of that style of game. His rule knowledge was superb and as a beginner, I want to be involved in more of this gaming, My game partner I played with is a seasoned role-playing player. the GM crafted his creative knowledge of the style of play for him also.
