Ico is a very approachable and friendly guy and his games are always a ton of fun. Be it his own incredibly fleshed-out homebrew setting or modules like Curse of Strahd, bringing them to life by creating a great ambiance with fitting soundtracks. The atmosphere at the table is always lighthearted and fun while still allowing for more serious or somber moments a̶s̶ ̶I̶c̶o̶ ̶t̶r̶a̶u̶m̶a̶t̶i̶z̶e̶s̶ as characters discover revelations about themselves or their beliefs while the story Ico and the players tell unfold, throughout which he expertly weaves characters' backstories and plot hooks players give him into the game and always does his best to make even a player's crazier ideas or homebrews work in a plausible and balanced way. Even beginners will have an easy time with no pressure and a "play your character how YOU want to play them" mentality in all of Ico's games. And of course, both Ico and players alike are always willing to help explain rules or mechanics. I would say Ico's games are more for the narratively driven player as he is flexible in bend rules or expanding on mechanics or even spells in ways that are plausible without deviating too much from its intent but enough to for example allow a player's idea that "Rules As Written" would not work but otherwise makes sense. But this is not to say that even more mechanically oriented players won't have an amazing time playing in one of Ico's games as long as, like with any DM, his rulings are respected. Overall I absolutely recommend Ico as a GM, his games are a blast and having just finished a CoS run with him I can't wait for what he has in store for us next.
