If I could pick more than 3 tags, I would. This was my first time ever playing D&D, so I was a little lost about it about character creation, combat, role play, etc. However, he went out of his way to help me with all of that. We had several hilarious/goofy moments, as well as serious/intense situations brought upon us. Even though he helped me ease into D&D at first, he did NOT pull punches (glad he didn't). Was a very fair DM when it came to allowing/not allowing certain things, and rewarded players for creativity as well as being immersed in the role play. There was always great energy during our sessions, and I couldn't have asked for a better first taste of D&D.
