Perfect for Beginners—Cinematic, Clear, and Crazy Fun This DM delivers a full-on cinematic experience. Distinct character voices bring NPCs to life, visual effects make spells and scenes pop, and the music is always on point—quiet when we’re scheming, epic when steel meets steel. The maps are clean, beautiful, and easy to read, which makes tactical moments feel exciting instead of confusing. Most importantly, they’re fantastic with newcomers. Rules are explained as we go, no gatekeeping, and questions are always welcome. They pace scenes so nobody feels lost, give quick summaries to keep us on track, and offer gentle guidance without ever railroading. I watched two first-time players go from nervous to fully invested by the end of session one. If you want a DM who blends great storytelling with pro-level production (voice, VFX, music, and maps) while keeping the table welcoming and beginner-friendly, book them. I’ve already signed up for the next arc.
I have always wanted to try Call of Cthulhu but was told that I did not have enough roleplaying experience for such a complicated and intense system. In our campaign, not only did I learn to play and love this system, I learnt that I can learn any system if the GM is willing to take the time. The thing that I really found good is that she takes the time to make sure everyone was ok after any intense session and that Jo is approachable at any time I needed to talk to her.
