Chris, plainly, is a good DM. He doesn’t force players into one mode of thought when problem solving, allowing creativity to flourish. He has allowed an amount of creative freedom I am very grateful for. His games that I’ve played often have a sense of humor to them, it’s a lot like a tv show in a way. It’s not so silly it gets exhausting, but light enough to be smiling frequently and sincerely. Then, there’s the ‘it gets real’ moments. Those dark and serious sections of the game that really feel impactful. Chris does an excellent job of snatching you back into the reality of the situation at hand, whether your characters like it or not. Another thing the reader should understand about Chris is his dedication to his world building. There hasn’t been a time where I thought a particular section of the world is empty. There’s always something to do even outside of the primary plot the characters are pursuing. In conclusion, as a player who has been playing 5th edition Dnd since its release, Chris is one of the best.
