DM Howl's games are the closest I've ever experienced to the engaging roleplay you see on Dimension 20 or Critical Role. I enjoy his style so much that after I got started in one of his campaigns, I couldn't resist joining a second one. He's fantastic at making his game world feel like a living, breathing world that you can affect through the actions your character makes. I cared a lot about the character I built for his campaign, and I could tell he cared about her story just as much as I did. He weaved every character's backstory in artfully with the events of the campaign and let all of our characters learn and grow as the story went on. Sadly one of our campaigns had to end earlier than planned, but he did an amazing job of blending all of the threads together on short notice, creating a fulfilling, heart-touching finale for our last session, one I will remember for a long time. I can't wait to see what else he has to offer in our future adventures!
