I last played D&D sometime in 1986 and after the popularity of Critical Roll rose I started to realize that you did not need to be a 'kid' to enjoy the genre. June 2021 I decided to find myself a group. I read all the advice online, with the big one being "Not all DMs are Matt Mercer". Okay maybe that's true but after 3 years in his campaigns I can say he is DAMN close and in some ways... his dyanmic group management style, better. The NPC characters he brings to life with his voice and personalities only enhances the great adventures and trials he sets before us. I have not been disappointed once in the last 150+ sessions to the point that I have engaged him for PERSONAL sessions for my kids (13-17) and I. This guy knows how to entertain people and is smart enough to "read the room" and adjust when things may not be to the groups liking. Well done V!
