About me
I am a 32-years-old, Everyone calls me V-vo and I have always loved fantasy. When I was a kid I read the legend of Drizzt books and didn't even know then that it was all related to dungeons and dragons until way later in life. In the last few years, I have completely fallen for D&D, ever since I saw the very first session of Critical Role. I enjoy running games and creating a fun experience for my players. I do all that I can to create the best experience for all my players and to deliver a great engrossing story for them to explore. How I run the game The aim of the game is for all involved to have fun. This never comes at the expense of someone else’s, so my main focus point when running the game will always be to ensure everyone leaves at the end of a session feeling satisfied. I usually communicate with players between sessions, to judge the feeling for the campaign, and to gather feedback etc. The rule of cool I am a firm believer in the rule of cool and generally quite relaxed and open about going slightly outside the book rules. However, the rule of thumb is to assume the book rules take president unless we have spoken and agreed otherwise. “I follow the rules when they make sense, sometimes rules are made to be broken”.
GM Style
As a Dungeon Master, I bring a blend of immersive storytelling, dynamic character voices, and versatile combat experiences to the table. My sessions are tailored to provide a balance of narrative depth and engaging encounters, ensuring that every game is memorable. Roleplaying & Character Voices: I thoroughly enjoy diving into roleplay and bringing characters to life with distinct voices. Whether it's a gruff dwarf blacksmith, a mysterious elven ranger, or a conniving villain, each NPC you encounter will feel unique and vibrant, adding layers of immersion to your adventure. Combat: Combat in my games flows as it should, adapting to the needs of the story and the players. Sometimes it's straightforward, other times it's intricate and tactical, and occasionally, it's creatively unconventional. I strive to keep combat engaging and fluid, ensuring that it challenges and excites without bogging down the pace of the game. Game Style: -Roleplay-Heavy: Expect rich interactions with the world and its inhabitants. -Balanced Combat: From simple skirmishes to complex tactical battles, combat is varied and tailored to the party's preferences. -Creative Encounters: I enjoy crafting unique and memorable encounters that test your skills and imagination. If you’re looking for a Dungeon Master who can weave a captivating story, bring characters to life with voice acting, and create varied combat scenarios, look no further. Let’s embark on an epic adventure together!

I last played D&D sometime in 1986 and after the popularity of Critical Roll rose I started to realize that you did not need to be a 'kid' to enjoy the genre. June 2021 I decided to find myself a group. I read all the advice online, with the big one being "Not all DMs are Matt Mercer". Okay maybe that's true but after 3 years in his campaigns I can say he is DAMN close and in some ways... his dyanmic group management style, better. The NPC characters he brings to life with his voice and personalities only enhances the great adventures and trials he sets before us. I have not been disappointed once in the last 150+ sessions to the point that I have engaged him for PERSONAL sessions for my kids (13-17) and I. This guy knows how to entertain people and is smart enough to "read the room" and adjust when things may not be to the groups liking. Well done V! Here's to another 3 years and more. - JRock / Del / Elric.
I've had the chance to play in Vvo's games for a solid few years now. Its really fun to listen to him set the stage and interact with the people in the world you play in. Combat is challenging in a good way, narrative and character aspects are fun to plan and see played out in the games. Overall a reliable and enthusiastic DM to spend your time with.
If you're playing one of Vvo's games, TAKE NOTES. There is so much detail and knowledge he crafts and love he puts into his games, you will miss out without notes. V is also great at taking into account character backstories; he will always have some special side quests or goals for your character heavily intertwined with his main narrative. If you're looking for your own personal Critical Role experience, this is where you'll find it. Rule of cool (within reason) and on-the-fly homebrew are also welcome in his games to make sure you have the most fun possible, and are able to live your character to the fullest. I have been a player in Vvo's campaigns for almost 4 years and I look forward to many more.
