Played a one-shot in a group of four, and I felt that the group was almost immediately part of the story. Good map, great fast pacing (which I think is important for one-shots), and nice combat encounters (and environmental hazards...).

Played a one-shot in a loose series, and Kat made it feel like that the team had all been playing a longer series together, despite only one other player actually having taken part in an earlier session of the series. I myself had little (and years-old) experience with DnD, but didn't matter the least bit.
