As a person who never had any interest in playing any sort of TTRPG yet alone D&D i was convinced to try it out one day and Alf was the GM. i've been faithfully playing with one of his groups for 2 years now and wished i would have started playing sooner. The group i play with is in 3.5e and has a variety of player skills from other DM's to beginners. Alf's Sessions tends to focus and satisfy each players desires from the game. Whether it be the murder hobo wanting to do combat only, or the player that wants to lose themselves and focus solely on Roleplaying. The Ability to adapt to player decisions is much better than i've seen other GMs come up be it your players touching the big red do not touch button or just following the main story, or killing the main npc you needed, the ability to adapt and adjust that Alf can provide based on player decisions is always entertaining. There is a 0 tolorance policy for any sort of discrimination and ends up with the offender being perma banned from the play group so everyone can feel free to join and not be judged. Story time: 4 campaigns ago the entire party was a group of half-orc lycanthropes and in our travels ended up in a magical forest covered with elegant flowers and crystalline trees with these small creatures called mana snails. one of our party member picked up a mana snail and attempted to throw it to see what happens. After rolling a 1 a healthy group of dice where rolled as the player instead of throwing the snail spiked it into the ground beneath us and caused the snail to explode causing a chain reaction of exploding snails and burning flowers and crystalline trees. Within second of one of us doing something stupid and out of nowhere Alf was able to adjust and proceed with a different story aspect and repercussions for detonating an entire magical forest for the rest of the campaign. Everyone is not flawless though and i do have to point out what may be a turn off to some or even more encouragement to others. Sometimes the game is taken a tad bit to seriously however, if you are willing to commit and learn your stuff properly from character sheets to mechanics your fine no issue. Those who aren't willing to put in any effort are going to be told flat out about and it's a three strikes your out kind of system. TL:DR Alf is a passionate gamer who in a time where everyone is avoiding other people this man is trying to use gaming to bring us back together, and teach everyone a lesson about themselves along the way and I hope to see you at our table.
