Miranda

Having a great time in Miranda’s Nightwick Abbey campaign! She is an experienced DM running a well-developed homebrew old-school D&D megadungeon that certainly has me sweating every time I drop my magic-user into its depths. If you are not familiar with old-school D&D, but enjoy Darkest Dungeon or other “Metroidvania” games like Dead Cells or Blasphemous, then Miranda’s Nightwick Abbey will make you feel at home. Each delve is a fun risk vs. reward style of play that careens between humor and hubris as the party is tempted by just one more door in an abbey corrupt by the ego of good intentions. And if character death makes you pause, don’t worry it won’t keep you out of the game. Miranda’s custom background and equipment tables make for fast generation with a little bit of spice for your frogling, changeling, or other classic old-school D&D class. And there are plenty of hirelings to push in front before the rusty iron nails of the undead get that close. Great environment for new players and a challenging one for “veterans” alike! Good job on all fronts Miranda.
