I've played about 35 paid sessions with Scott, previously via roll20. Elevator Pitch: Scott's game is an impressive blend of Combat, Political Intrigue, Dungeon-delving, and general Role-Play, with a LOT of room for creativity on the players' part. In detail: The best thing about Scott's games is how the world feels alive and constantly moving. There's always new things happening both right in front of us and away in our periphery. Stuff like rumors, mysteries, and urgent situations happen around us, and we're given the freedom to choose what we want to tackle. Of course, our choices have consequences, and those consequences are always very clearly presented to us, whether they're good or bad. Sometimes we gain the favor of a high-ranking noble; other times someone gains a grudge on us and hunts us down. Another great thing about Scott's game is how he leaves the problem-solving very open ended. It gives the players a lot of room to think creatively, and also gives us a chance to really act out our characters' tendencies. One thing I particularly enjoy about Scott's game is that great and interesting magic items are available in certain shops. They tend to be expensive, but that gives us a goal to save up money for, which I haven't experienced much in other games. I think you'd enjoy Scott's games if you're a creative player who isn't constrained by the base mechanics of the game. There's always many ways to solve a certain problem, and Scott does very well to accommodate whatever creative solutions the players come up with, be it through RP, spells/combat, or a combination of the two.
