He is a very helpful DM, not afraid to reach out to a player if they are making others feel unappreciated. He isn't afraid to bend the rules a bit to allow for flavor; one of my characters had a staff that shot darts, but mechanically is was a short bow. He plays music most of the time to help set the scene.
