This GM offered a swift set up of characters with imports from D&D Beyond and dealt with little challenges like requiring stats and a token for summons really well. The story had a nice progression including a puzzle task, several areas for skill checks and good amounts of combat that was suitably challenging. Maps selected were great in FoundryVTT and I felt like the GM knew what he was doing and was able to inform us of the rules in a friendly way if we went wrong without sounding like a rules lawyer.

The DM/GM (Rob) led a very successful session incorporating the players backgrounds into play, allowing the characters to grow and generate their story arcs without being too pushy to have to come up with things if players felt unsure. He ensured all players had a chance to participate on a regular basis through either speaking or rolling ability checks for things that happened. The events and combat was run in a timely manner without being overly laboured and enough journal entries were made available for players to keep track of important events through the play session. There was a nice selection of music for mood setting and for during combat. The GM's choice of Virtual tabletop was Foundry, in my opinion the best option out there for games and he was fairly light on his use of add on modules to keep the learning curve low for beginners to games. I would recommend this DM/GM for other players to participate in sessions with as he has obvious experience in managing a high quality session which ultimately is what we are all after!
