I had a great time playing with Dudley in a game that he DMed. It was a one shot style game called Hotel Absalom that he created. As adventurers, we were pulled into an extradimensional hotel filled with interesting happenings as a result of failure during a teleportation spell. As players, we generated some of the items and people in the hotel by pulling Tarot cards that Dudley had available. It led to a fun adventure that kept us on our toes. Dudley did a great job of taking the randomness offered by the cards that were drawn and improving how they fit into the story, our characters, and the session as a whole. He supported creative thinking and was willing to work with us as players to help us experience cool storytelling moments. The adventure he laid out for us is one that I am happy to try again, as the random elements that he uses the tarot cards to introduce and his improvisation make for a great combo. Dudley is an upstanding guy and a great DM and I look forward to the next time that I'll be at his table.
