I've been playing games with Carol for years now, and there are so many things about her style of game mastery that I love. A quick highlights list of a few of my favorites are: Her stellar improvisational skills. Carol is always willing to work with players to take hard left turns and introduce or explore unexpected themes, relationships, and plot threads. Her ability to weave together narratives from the smallest character details. I'm a fairly joke-y player, and a lot of my character concepts are comedic as a rule. Carol has taken throwaway details I've included in character descriptions for a laugh and cultivated them to blossom into fun, poignant backstories and character conflicts. Her sense of fairness. Player conduct can be an extremely touchy subject, but Carol is excellent at mediating when emotions get high and making sure that players never feel unheard or trivialized. Her world building and collaborative character development. Carol has such a wonderful imagination and she is always willing to share her wealth of ideas. She constructs exciting, intricate settings and populates them with amazing NPCs and is always willing to work with her players to help them figure out how to root their character within the communities they're a part of. In short: if you get a chance to play a game with Carol at the helm, consider yourself lucky and strap in for a wild, delightful ride!
