About Carol
I have spent the past 20+ years of my life studying folklore, story tropes, and fae mythos out of a love of a game that is hardly ever offered... Changeling the Dreaming. I have been running games for years now, and enjoy the complexity and hidden beauty of this game. I do occasionally run other games, and have fun doing so, so if you're looking for someone to run that weird game you never get to play, drop me a line and I'll see if I can give it my best shot!

My favorite shows/movies are
Shows: Psych, iZombie, Doctor Who, The Good Place Movies: Mr. Right, Moulin Rouge, Stardust
My favorite system of all Time is
Kids on Bikes/Kids on Brooms. I mostly run WoD games or DnD, but the system used in the Kids on Bikes/Brooms games are so much more fun!

How Carol runs games
I love a game that people feel they can explore in depth. I employ theatrics, rule of cool, and sometimes even props and the dumbest names you've ever heard because I forgot to name that super important NPC, and now he's forevermore "Biggleswiff Smashmouth"

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Baz Luhrmann
My games focus on...
allowing the players to be the exceptional ones in a story. Even if a character is low level, it just means they are at the beginning of their story.
Rules are...
flexible when it helps the story and rigid when it helps the table. Meaning, if the players are getting along well and the story is building naturally, then the rules are less important. If there is tension building at the table, rules establish fairness.
Carol's ideal table
I run story-focused games and enjoy players who aren't afraid of exploring their characters, even when those characters make mistakes. If you enjoy building stories with others and don't freak out when the story results in conflict, I think you'll enjoy my table.

folklore, mythology, and twisted fairytales
My table is not the place for...
power fantasies. An interesting character has flaws and doesn't always succeed. If the idea of your character failing at something, or not being immediately loved by every PC and NPC, upsets you out of character, then my games aren't for you.
