I have played under some good GM's here and Harper is one of my favorites. He is good with experienced players and new players and he can balance the rules with rule of cool well given each player's preferences. Harper is great with theater of mind descriptions for setting the tone and environment for maps and encounters. He is open to unique player character concepts as well as those that play more traditional type characters/classes. I'm very happy with GM Harper's enthusiasm for keeping the game going despite unreliable players here and there. Our core party is having a lot of fun!
Niko is a wonderful GM and so far I am enjoying my time in the Candlekeep Mysteries game we are playing. His storytelling is great at setting the scene for location and aesthetics, he does a good job of depicting cultural elements for the scene and NPC's involved. Niko presents challenges to the players in terms of combat, encounters and puzzles/mysteries but never tries to overwhelm the players and Niko is definitely not the type of DM/Gm who is only out to TPK the party. His presentation is articulate and well delivered. Niko is also not adverse to letting us players indulge in our occasional (ok maybe more than occasionally hehe) silliness and joining in. I highly recommend Niko as a GM and I'm looking forward to the continuation of our adventures!
First session in the books and I am enjoying myself and I think the rest of the group is enjoying themselves as well. GM Wolf is running a good game that moves at a good pace and doesn't feel rushed or slow. The difficulty feels just right and GM Wolf is accommodating for new players as well as more experienced players. I'm definitely looking forward to future sessions in this campaign!
