About Harper
Greetings, adventurers! I turned to Start Playing in hopes of finding people who want to play D&D on a consistent basis. I have now been running a game on here for over a year. When not playing D&D, I am a 4th and 5th-grade ELA teacher. I also run social-skill groups for neurodiverse kids, which is how I got back into tabletop gaming. I run D&D summer camps & online groups. I love collaborative storytelling and high adventure, working with other players to create stories involving danger, drama, and excitement. I have been playing D&D since the mid-80s, and I started seriously running 5E about four years ago. The two biggest influences on my DMing style are my love of history and the sword & sorcery fantasy genre. I love players who create strong characters who will make their mark on the Realms.

How Harper runs games
I enjoy role-playing, exploration and combat equally. There will be detailed depictions of violence, but I try not to go over the top. I enjoy humor, but I also appreciate players who monitor their air time, so that everybody has a chance to role-play.
