Really enjoyed the game! Sawyer spent time having our characters interact before we were introduced to the adventure hook and tailored the game to incorporate different details of our backgrounds and character choices. This was a "Theatre of the Mind" game, and we only used Discord, so it was very accessible. During the two combats, he did a great job of keeping track of where we all were, mentally, and handled a 5-player group really well. I would happily play in one of Sawyer's games again.

Michael ran a really fun game. I would definitely play in one of his games again. He was very responsive to questions regarding character generation and has everything integrated with Roll20, DnDBeyond, and Discord. The encounters were challenging, and he celebrated with the players when we pulled off a victory in spite of our off-the-wall plan having little chance of success. I really had a great time and look forward to playing in one of his games in the future!

Okay... let's say it's Saturday night and you want to do a one-shot game, because you don't have the time to commit to a whole campaign. And let's say that you enjoy playing 5th level characters. And, furthermore, let's say that you want a DM that's going to respond to creative ideas put out by the players and wrap all of that into a package decided by dice rolls. Then I think you'll like a Grim Wolf game. I had no idea what I had signed up for tonight, but I was excited that the DM was online before the game and was happy to answer questions. When the adventure started, I was worried that maybe I had set the level of expectation too high. And then the game blossomed into this incredibly memorable experience that involved challenging encounters with a new spin on classic D&D monsters, legendary D&D items that changed the game in a random way, and a randomly-rolled encounter that was absolutely bonkers, but that still turned out to be incredibly fun - even for the members of the party who died in its legendary jaws. It was super fun. One thing to note - Grim Wolf uses a fumble deck, which was very punishing to the PC's but also incredibly punishing to the monsters (we got the better end of the deal tonight). So, if you can go with that, then I think you can have a really fun time in a Grim Wolf game. I sure did, and I have been playing D&D since 1982.
