I've been gaming with DM_Grisix for a while now. Grisix is all about immersion through detail and structure. He runs a very rules oriented game so that behavior is consistent. For me, the details add to the immersion because you're not able to ridiculously overload your character (as an example). All of the campaigns of his that I have been involved in have all been player-centric. The players choices truly drive where the adventure heads. Further, the world outside of the players also continues to move forward, with the end result being that there isn't a feeling of just marching a path and triggering fights along a storyline that is "on-rails". Its been over a decade, and he's still my favorite GM.
