About Luis DM
I’m Luis, a Dungeon Master with eight years of experience running Dungeons and Dragons 5e. My games are cinematic, immersive, and built around player choice. I focus on deep worlds, memorable NPCs, dangerous encounters, and stories that react to what the party does. Your decisions matter, your character matters, and the world will remember the choices you make. I run campaigns across many different tones, from classic fantasy to darker, stranger, post-apocalyptic, and more experimental adventures, while still keeping the heart of D&D alive. At my table, you can expect strong storytelling, meaningful choices, intense combat, room for roleplay, and plenty of moments where the party can surprise me. I prepare a lot, but I never lock players into one path. The goal is simple: create a campaign that feels alive, where every session adds to a story we build together.

I became a GM because
I became a GM because my friends wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons, but no one wanted to run the game. I decided to step up, and once I did, I realized how much I loved creating worlds, telling stories, and bringing players together to build a word together.
My favorite books are
My all time favorite books include The Dark Tower series, The Lord of the Rings who does not love it, the Eragon series, The Hunger Games, and many more. These stories heavily inspire the worlds, themes, and long form storytelling I bring into my games.

How Luis DM runs games
My GM style is cinematic, immersive, and built around player choice. I create living worlds where decisions matter, NPCs feel real, and story paths change based on what the party does. I use Foundry VTT with many modules and premium tools to bring the world to life through music, maps, effects, automation, and atmosphere. Combat is tense but fair, rewarding smart tactics, teamwork, roleplay, and creative thinking. My goal is to make every session feel exciting, personal, and worth remembering.

I prep by
After each session, I reflect on what happened and the choices the players made. I build on what we created together and add new elements when needed. In Foundry VTT, I test sessions ahead of time so that even unused paths still have ways to carry the story forward.
Rules are...
Rules are important and respected, but never at the cost of fun, flow, or the story we are building together.
When it comes to voices
I spend a lot of time practicing character voices until they feel right. I’ve loved roleplaying since I was a kid, making stories and acting them out. Even if some NPCs are annoying, you react to them, loving them or hating them, and they feel real.
Luis DM's ideal table
My table is welcoming, relaxed, and inclusive of different play styles. I do not require players to stay in character at all times, as I understand not everyone enjoys heavy roleplay. Whether you love acting out scenes or prefer focusing on combat and tactics, you are welcome at my table. The goal is to build a world together that works for everyone. I design games where roleplay focused players, combat focused players, and explorers all have meaningful moments. The general vibe is collaborative, cinematic, and fun, with space for serious story beats, smart combat, and plenty of laughs along the way.
