About Zaodon
My screenname is Zaodon. I have been playing and DMing D&D for the last 46 years. I have run or played over 100 different TTRPGs over my lifetime, but D&D is still my favorite. I have run roleplaying games at conventions, shops and private home sessions. I have participated in RPG designs and playtesting, including Swords of the Serpentine and D&D. I have over 6500 hours of GMing on Roll20, and a background in Computer Science which allows me to create macros and custom scripts which enhance the immersion and gaming experience in the VTT.

How Zaodon runs games
I run full campaigns instead of one-shots, as I prefer creating an engaging story for players to enjoy. My main DMing style is a mix of "Rule of Cool", engaging storytelling and roleplay, and exciting combat. My customized campaigns are never wholly pre-determined. While there is a plot at work, the players themselves will dictate the story's progress based on their decisions.
Zaodon's ideal table
There will be a balance of combat, roleplay, exploration, investigation, puzzles, and character development. The general tone of the campaign will be Epic Fantasy, with high stakes, moral clarity, and grand scale. I love a good mix of humor and seriousness, as long as we don’t derail the game. I follow most standard rules of 5E/5.5E, but a few things which slow gameplay, are tedious, or are unbalancing, I ditch or change. My campaigns are always rated G thru PG-13 (occasional language) and I only feel comfortable playing with people aged 18+. I do not include any controversial content, and I do not record, stream or require video/cameras.
