About WardenPat

Been an avid Warden for two years now playing Mothership. I have one group with a completed yearlong campaign under my belt and about 25 separate one shot sessions with many laughs and moments of panic! Really enjoy making new friends and expanding the Mothership family.

I started running games because...

Fantasy never really gripped me... When I heard of Mothership I knew I would like to give it a try. I haven't looked back for two years and its been a blast! I have made many new friends and memories through campaigns and one shots and want to continue to grow the Mothership family!

I have been called a 'kind' warden because I don't like to go out of my way to kill players. That being said we are playing a sci-fi/horror RPG and some memorable endings have happened!

How WardenPat runs games

If you want to learn/play MOTHERSHIP and are looking to have a good time with new friends, I would be honored to have you at one of my games! I mainly play on Roll20 for its immersive audio and map layout. I really like to search for sound effects that bring modules to life and crank up the creepy aspects of Mothership. Standard play and combat are all turn based so everyone at the table gets to do their two actions and I find this helps keep everyone involved. I do prefer a lighter, sometimes comical approach to storytelling that can balance the stressful moments Mothership provides. I also really try to respect the time everyone invests when playing these games and will adjust the flow of narrative to keep us within the set duration. Described by my group as a 'kind' warden, I don't like to just kill off my players. That being said the danger and risk that this game provides has often lead to some memorable ends!

Maps and audio effects are through Roll20. I like to set up all of my rulebooks, notepads, and dice so I have what is needed on hand.

Rules are...

Not as important as having a good time. I try and stay as close to the books as possible, but if something needs to be adjusted for the enjoyment of the table I am more than willing to have a vote.

I like a relaxed table style where everyone has a chance to be part of the story. Meta questions and discussions are welcome and honest Warden advice will be offered for those who inquire. Everyone gets two actions on their turn (one when in combat) in a round robin style so all stay involved in the game and action!
