About Vy (Keaton)

Hello! My name is Keaton, and I've been roleplaying and storytelling since I was a kid. I've been playing and running ttrpgs for about 16 years and have gathered a lot of knowledge and proficiency in that time! I'm proudly autistic, a game designer and storyteller with a background in film, acting, theater, and more. My favorite games have an earnest tone, with a solid mix of rule of cool, some light laughs, and pathos-driven storylines strewn with cool lore in immersive worlds. I strive to create a safe, fun, creative atmosphere, where a group coheres and finds a collective rhythm as they play together. I look forward to many an exciting, nailbiting adventure with you!🏇

How Vy (Keaton) runs games

My GM style is heavily narrative, with a focus on roleplay and story - which then contextualizes all instances of combat and strategy (which I also love). I enjoy utilizing character voices and the flexible nature of Theater of the Mind to create an atmospheric, immersive narrative! The games I run tend to have an earnest tone (comparable to a serialized TV show or anime, or a movie, novel, etc.). There's room for fun, pathos-heavy melodrama, some shenanigans, cool antagonists, and interesting worlds to explore. I really enjoy homebrewing and designing an experience that tightly achieves what, specifically, my group and I are going for. I love paying attention to the individual tastes, playstyles, and characters of the players in my groups and catering the experience to those things as we move forward.
