About me
Hello!! I'm Duckling! I'm a 24 year old writer with a lot of free time and TTRPG experience on my hands. I love roleplaying and exploring immersive worlds. I started playing DND 5e when it was being playtested in 2012 and I've pretty much been stuck on tabletop games ever since. I'll be running Play by Post DND and occasional rules-lite games, hopefully resulting in unforgettable experiences for myself and my players! I'm very excited!
GM Style
My focus is generally on strong personalities for NPCs and descriptive writing. I do my best to follow the rules and spirit of the system, but I'll often make exceptions for the rule of cool. I'm very experienced with Avrae and its various aliases and depend on them in my DND games. All artwork I use will be credited to the original artist, I personally will not be using AI generation.

I played Bluebeard's Bride with Ugly Duckling. Ugly Duckling sets the mood with her excellent descriptions of the rooms and incorporates our character answers into the rooms and scares. There's plenty of items to investigate and explore and things to make players curious. Had lots of fun.

I quite enjoyed playing in Ugly Duckling's Tales From the Yawning Portal dungeon crawl while I could. She was very cool to answer questions from her players and runs an extremely friendly server! A very cool DM all around ^^

Very responsive, creative, helpful, patient, fun, and well-organized DM! I loved being in their Sunless Citadel PbP campaign and wish I could have stuck around even longer, but life got in the way. Their Discord is also super fun and welcoming, very well organized, and they even offered to let me stick around to watch the game in spectator mode in case I am able to come back. Highly, highly recommended!
