About Nathan
I'm an LA-based software developer, business owner, and musician. I started playing TTRPGs in middle school, starting with Hero Quest and D&D. I fondly remember sitting in class and ignoring the teacher while drawing maps on graph paper and sketching character concepts based on the Lord of the Rings. I've been GMing for a year now, running one Dragonbane campaign and one Pathfinder 2e campaign simultaneously.

I got started GMing...
after years of playing TTRPGs that began in middle school with Hero Quest and D&D. I finally jumped into the GM seat about a year ago, and now run a Dragonbane campaign and a Pathfinder 2e campaign at the same time. Bringing stories to life from the other side of the screen quickly became my favorit
My favorite books are
anything that fueled my imagination as a kid and still does. Iain M. Banks, Brandon Sanderson, and Ursula K Le Guin are at the top of my list. The Lord of the Rings and its maps and characters inspired me to sketch my own concepts on graph paper long before I ever ran a game.
When I'm not running games I'm...
working as a software developer, running my business, or making music. My background in music, film, and improv theater tends to spill over into my games in the form of sound design, cinematic pacing, and improvised character moments.
How Nathan runs games
As a GM, I bring my background in music, film, video game design, and improv theater to create an immersive experience that blends crunchy tactical gameplay with rich character development and epic storytelling. Players in my games can expect vivid scenes brought to life through concise yet atmospheric description, sound design, and cinematic pacing. I thrive on building moments that allow characters to shine through roleplaying, meaningful choices, and dynamic interactions, while also providing challenging, strategic combat encounters designed to test players' creativity and teamwork.
Nathan's ideal table
I love to improvise and roleplay, both in silly light scenes and heavier dramatic scenes. I love doing silly voices. No matter your level of experience with these things, I think we are all drawn to the playful freedom of TTRPGs, and we can all make a safe place for exploring.
