Hiya ! Toby here ! A gamer to the heart and a lover of weird and wonderful stories. When I am not playing, I'm a designer, event producer, DJ, performer and software consultant. Yes, I know; there is a lot going on. I run my own designer company based in East London and I organise cabaret shows and parties with drag queens and other queer performers. I also work for the information department of a large animal charity in the UK. Believe me when I say I still have time to play TTRPGS (somehow). I'm a non-native English speaker, so be prepared for my beautiful accent. ---My TTRPG History--- I am an avid ttrpg fan since my middle school days (more than 20 years ago) when I could run from bullying friends and hide in fantasy worlds. Back then, I could only play ttrpg with people I met on online forums and meeting them secretly from my parents. While I forgot about this hobby of mine as I became an adult, I got lured back into it with newly expanded online communities and the ease of VTTs. While I played mostly d&d 3E & 3.5E back in the days, I have started GMing on d&d 5E in 2019, but quickly switched to Pathfinder 2e since I believe it is superior in many ways and at the moment I am exclusively GMing Pathfinder 2e games.

GM style

I enjoy every aspect of the game and try to balance my games accordingly. I am easy going and try to focus on player characters places inside the story. In shorter adventures, my players have high flexibility on characters that they can play and in longer adventures, there is a whole path of character development ahead of them, where I run flashback episodes and their own side-story adventures, most or each of them tying back to the main story. I respect every style of playing on the spectrum of power player and role player, as long as everyone is respectful against each other. A safe, comfortable and time-efficient game sessions are important to me and I try to be fair to everyone while being rewarding at the same time. I try to use as much VTT support and visual support as I can since I believe online games are different to IRL games and we, the gm and the players, all need cues to focus on the game and I believe it is harder for the theater of mind to work on a voice-only remote gathering. I prefer to run published adventures as I know how much valuable work is put into them that I probably cannot replicate on my own with the time that I have. But I always add unique custom stuff into it that makes them feel distinct. Let's have some fun!
