About Daxula

One score and ten years ago, I set upon the life changing adventure that is TTRPGs! Even as a new player, the urge to tell a good story often overpowered my better judgement and I found myself begging the DM for more drama! It wouldn’t be too long before I tried my hand at GMing myself and was absolutely horrible… It would take a few campaigns before I understood the right ingredients for a good stew of adventure, but then it became difficult to find an occasion in which I could again play myself; everyone wanted me to GM! Now I’ve come to respect roleplaying games as an awareness and social preparedness tool and actually setup an intro into TTRPGs curriculum. Much like the actor Chris Pine recently expressed, I feel that TTRPGs would be a beneficial addition to schooling. However, I am here and available for a good story! Feel free to reach out with questions, including date/ time negotiations. I always have a few rules: You’ll get as much out of it as you put in! Feel free to be as cheesy as you like but expect the same in turn. Do not feel ashamed to run!

How Daxula runs games

Abandon all monotony ye who enter here! While fun is always the dish of choice, the recipe includes healthy amounts of humor, revelry, threat, and even backstory, with a smattering of moral choices and complications. While at the foremost these are games, they are also art and interaction, after all. Sure, I'm your bellicose opponent sometimes, but I'm also your verbose storyteller and your thought provoking guru as well! Times are always negotiable. My schedule can be fairly open. I list the most popular times, but the group comes first, so feel free to reach out! I am also an independent artist, so individualized pieces will likely be prevalent (as time permits). Streaming is available as the group prefers.

I once ran a session...

From lvl 1 to just past 20. They ran into ruins at lvl 2 with primitive drawings of themselves that depicted precisely what happened at the end. 1 of them became a god and 1 died sacrificing himself to cut the hand off the main baddie and save everyone while 2 dropped a Dracolitch; all above a war.

When it comes to voices

I fluctuate honestly. I will put on a voice to introduce and "colorize" a character, but will typically slide back to normal for sake of focus and ease once established. Though in passionate interactions, the voices usually comeback out!

The vibe would be "human" if I could set it personally. Emotions, moral decisions, temptations, these are all as important as growth. As I say the only thing that cannot be accepted is nonacceptance. All are welcome that can be welcoming. As Violent J and Shaggy say "We're the Carnival of Lights!"
