About me
Epic Tales, Gripping Drama, Cataclysmic Conflict, Tragic Romance, Heartstopping Terror, Awe Consuming Wonder... As a Storyteller, GM, DM or whatever term is your preference it's my goal to get as many of these fantastic themes in whatever game I'm running. As a professional writer and TTRPG evangelist, I am published author with Onyx Path Publishing, I have 25+ years of TTRPG Experience (95% of it behind the screen), and hundreds of hours spent in Live Streamed Actual plays primarily with Devils Luck Gaming and Fiendish Foundation. My focused playstyle is Narrative and Character Driven storytelling through detailed descriptions and immersive roleplay. I do have a love for a well balanced and constructed system but I will almost always seek to tell the best story first and see that the rules being used support that style. Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Modern Espionage, or any other genre is a treasure trove of story and enjoyment. My job is to paint the picture, build the tension, and pay off the drama in the most spectacular ways possible.

Conri is a masterclass of GM'ing skill. From session zero on they made sure every player at the table felt included. They foster a truly safe and fun atmosphere for their games where, even if you are just meeting them, you will feel like old compatriots by the end of that first planning session. They are incredibly easy to talk to and if you have any questions or concerns will always talk with you between sessions to make sure anything is addressed. They explain and implement classic TTRPG safety systems to ensure everyone at the table is comfortable and feels like they are in a safe environment to express themselves. They take player interests and feelings to heart in order to drive the game forward and give great opportunities to express and develop your character. Their knowledge and the research they put into every session never fails to amaze as they create a coherent, deep world that comes to life with their colorful array of NPCs and perfectly paced plot. They always make sure player action takes center stage and make sure every player around the table gets a shot at the spotlight and are set up with opportunities to do "their thing". They never denigrate someone who does not know the rules perfectly and always help players out to understand why or how something works. Their experience in the industry also comes through with their ability to craft interesting and creative homebrew subsystems for the game to help flesh out areas that are weak in the base material. Normally, I would hate homebrew materials due to imbalance, but their experience and understanding of underlying system mechanics has made all pieces of introduced material only enhance the fun of the game and not blow out any sort of difficulty curve in the system. The only possible reason I would not recommend Conri is that you will likely be spoiled in terms of future GM's, once you have the opportunity to experience the way in which they run their games.
It has been many years but Conri and I have DM/ST for each other over many stories and many different systems. He is well versed in the rules and has always been an open minded DM who is highly inclusive with his games. As a player he was always in the thick of the story and brought an amazing energy to my tables. I highly recommend him as a GM for anyone new or who has been playing for years.
I highly recommend Conri as a GM if you are either new to the game or a veteran of TTRPG's, because either way the experience will be amazing. I was new to the TTRPG scene when I started playing with Conri, and they have ruined me for all other GM's. The scenes in the game are so intense and vividly described, so much so that you can practically see it, and it's so easy to get emotionally invested in the story. Plus they're super knowledgeable. I'd never played another system besides 5e, but, thanks to Conri, now I know so many other types of games to play and always look forward to learning about another. If you have any questions, or need explanations, they are more than willing to explain and help you out. I look forward to games with them, and will always jump at the chance to play with them again.
My first ever tabletop gaming experience was with this Storyteller and since then I have been in over 10 campaigns! Im hooked! I was forever thankful that as someone who struggled with the math at times, this GM knew how to guide me through various systems in a way that never made me feel anxious or bad about what I didnt know. While Conri manages to make crunch decisions feel strategically important - the story always came first in every game we played! Each scene felt beautifully described and really knew how to make theater of the mind sing. Dread. Building tension. That general "oh god wait its been 4 hours already?!", moment when you realize youd been wrapped up in everything going on haha Be prepared to want to adopt every NPC you come across but also have some of the most gruesome horrific nightmare scenes of your life haha This Storyteller knows how to get you invested!!!
