About me

Hello! My name is Tobi, and I have lots of experience running D&D locally in my town, and online! I run all of my campaigns in a setting I have poured tens of sessions and hours of time into fleshing out, so expect a really personal touch to all of the characters and setpieces. I always am accommodating for player's preferences and boundaries, as I know everyone comes from different strokes of life. I've been playing Dungeons and Dragons since I was a kid, and have been fascinated with a good handful of other systems since. It's always been fun for me to pick apart their systems and find the things I do and don't like about all of the mechanics. I still love to experiment with these mechanics in my games, always trying to maximize the fun that it can give my players.

The story and roleplay matters most to me, as I often trim the fat of the more crunchy mechanics to ensure that the story can play out as needed. I don't ignore the rules, I simply use them as a guideline and don't stick to them 100% all the time. Combat can be very crunchy and time consuming, but I still think it can make for some fantastic story moments when used at a manageable frequency. Other than that I am very laid back when it comes to rules and am willing to make alterations to the rules if I can tell they're impeding on the overall fun factor.
