Hello and welcome to the table. I am Jonah, your Storyforge GM. I love high-stakes epic storytelling you can lose yourself in. So let me invite you, to lose yourself as well in the world of Ea Oriad, an extensive homebrew world my friends and me have enjoyed for years. I ran my first game...

With two friends when I was 15. None of us ever played anything of the sort before. We played a 9 hour long, pregenerated horror/ mystery one-shot, while sitting in some garden under the scorching sun. We later found out the supposed one-shot was actually a mini-campaign of 3-4 adventures.

How Jonah runs games

I love the stakes of an epic fantasy setting with a touch of eldritch horror to keep you on your toes. Foreshadowing and weaving the Backstories of my players into unexpected developements are my guilty pleasures. I love immersive stories, so I encourage roleplay and actively build on the ideas my players bring to the table. Surprise me - that´s what I like most about being a GM. As with every story, there is a underlying chain of events unfolding in the backround, and the world will continue to move around you. But I do not like aggressively pushing my players in one particular direction. You should be able to find your own path, forge your own story, live - and sometimes die - as the character you intended to be. Let´s get immersed together and enjoy the wonderful madness known as TTRPG.

Jonah's ideal table

My table is story-driven and collaborative. I like to create games were the players have the feeling of living their own story instead of just being a character playing a story already written down. I love players who get engaged in the world and communicate freely with each other and the NPCs. Who dig into the worlds secrets and surprise me with their sometimes random and ludicrous actions. Short, I like players who get immersed and I´ll try my best to get you that immersion. All campaigns and most one-shots will play in the same world of Ea Oriad, leaving their mark and possibly influencing each other. I welcome each and every player at the table. Wether you are a hardcore immersed roleplayer or a rather passive rules-technician. You are welcome. Just respect each others boundaries and let your fellow players have their personal moments. I will try to tailor the story to you and your friends at the table and let every player have the opportunity to shine. I would be excited to welcome you into the world of Ea Oriad and leave your mark for others to find.

I think min/maxing...

Is fun as long as it follows a concept. Why play a character who does not do what you want it to do. Wether you decide to optimize your character in certain ways or not is your decision. If that´s a fun part for you, then do it. If you need help, ask me. Just have fun with your character.

My perfect party mix is

A bunch of players who have good synergy together. Who let each other have their moment and help each other get through the twists and turns of the story.
