Fantasy stories have been my lifeblood since I was a small child. As a DM, I love to immerse my players in our stories using soundscapes and music. If the story calls for it, I sometimes like to write new lyrics to existing tunes for NPCs to sing--or players, if they're comfortable with it! I also believe that safety tools are beyond necessary for us all to have a fun collaborative experience--not only do they keep everyone at the table safe, but they also help to inform the stories we create together. One thing I like to bring to the table is character artwork. I am happy to create player tokens and character portraits for any player that joins my tables. While theatre of the mind is a great way to play, I believe having even just a simple portrait can help everyone at the table imagine what is happening in a new and exciting way! I make a point to support third-party publishers, especially for 5e. Many of my favorite stories come from these publishers, and I am excited to share in creating them with you!
I believe a good story is all about the balance between roleplay and combat. I try to deliver stories that are roleplay-heavy with enough combat to keep the pressure on (I would call this medium-stakes). I enjoy horror stories as well as more dramatic and romantic stories, sprinkled with a little comedy. With music and soundscapes as well as character art for players and NPCs, I strive for an immersive and fun experience for everyone at the table!
