Hello there! My name is Benjamin Nesbitt, I have been playing DnD5e for 5 years between real life and virtual tabletops. Recently I have been branching out into new RPGs such as Cyberpunk 2020, Cyberpunk RED, Star Wars 5e, and Warhammer 40K: Wrath & Glory. I have been in the shoes of a Player, DM, GM, Assistant DM, Storywriter, and even on some occasions a map maker. If I had to choose my favorite role, I'd honestly have to say being a DM! My recent interest for TTRPGs has skyrocketed ever since I invested in FoundryVVT. After I acquired the software, I was absolutely obsessed with virtual gaming and have always been looking for slots in my friend's circle to host a game. Now that I've hosted a game or two with the software, I have been looking to host games for other people! My DMing style is all about you! If you want to play a class, background, or race that's not listed in the books, or try something that the books don't exactly mention, I'll work with you on making a homebrew solution that would seem like it came straight from the rules! My stories are formed around the players. I usually won't play written down campaigns, instead I'll form a very loose script which can be modified by the player's actions. The world I write is also loose in terms of how your characters would fit in - the name of the city your character came from, if the actions they took changed the structure of the city, etc. Anything that makes you feel as though your character belongs, I will put into the story and make sure it's relevant later. I'm here to make sure you have a good time! Your fun is the utmost priority in my games, so if there's something you want added or modified from the traditional system, I'm more than happy to make those changes!

when I was about 16 years old! I was really the only one in my friend groups that remembered half of any of the rulebooks and we all wanted to try and play SOMETHING. Eventually, I decided to make my games a bit more exciting, then I got recommended to come here!

How TestedHawk runs games

I'm big into Roleplay! I'll use separate character voices regularly and also use Voicemod when applicable (character has a mask, different planar entity, etc.). I will default to virtual sessions which will be held on Discord for voice interaction, and FoundryVVT when it comes down to the core gameplay. All I would require the players to have is a Discord account, other than that, I will provide everything that you will need for the experience! I enjoy tactical combat and will present multiple opportunities for a player to be creative and outsmart their foes. Combat in my games don't have to be forced to "I run up and attack them" but rather "I will use the mug from the counter to pour the beer on the skeleton, then push him over to the lit candle on the table." I love creativity! If you think it's possible, try it! I will keep a loosely written story ready for you! This means that you and your party can do several things and the story will continue to progress in a natural way. Nothing I have planned is set in stone, if an action was taken which I have not accounted for, I have enough room in the story to keep it going and overwrite what was originally going to happen! My plan here is to make it feel as though I've accounted for every action you can take in every scenario! A loosely written story also means that I have enough room to squeeze in the lore that you want when it comes to your character's history and background. Do you want an entire region in the campaign dedicated to a group of people who's customs and conduct are all written by you? Do you want your character to come from a high society who's well known and even referenced throughout the campaign? Do you want a new class, background, species, something entirely new which the books don't cover? I can do all of that and more! This experience is as tailored to you as you want it! I am beginner friendly, LGBTQ+ friendly, Neurodivergent friendly, and (when applicable to the session) Kid friendly! Before we have a session together, I will ask each player what they might be uncomfortable with and if there are any topics that I shouldn't touch. Warnings will always be applied if they are needed. When it comes to individuals below 18, I will mark the session's ages as needed. If we have any -18 players, I will ask the rest of the players to keep their behavior at an acceptable level to accommodate them.
