About Nick | Teamwork Games
Hi, I’m Nick — a longtime tabletop gamer and Game Master who’s been exploring worlds, rolling dice, and telling stories for decades. I’ve played a wide gamut of games dating back to AD&D (Pathfinder, Starfinder, D&D (3.-5e), and Star Wars (d6, d20) Rifts). While I’m new to Startplaying, I’m a Ranked GM in Pathfinder 2e Organized Play, and I love helping players create memorable characters and shared adventures that feel alive at the table. I have a deep appreciation for character creation and backstory, and I encourage players to think about who their heroes are beyond stats, skills, and feats. Those details — the “why” behind the character — are what make the story meaningful, and the party dynamic come alive. Outside the table, I’m a 22-year military veteran. That experience has taught me how to build strong teams, adapt under pressure, and ensure everyone has a voice — lessons I bring directly to my tables. My games focus on collaboration, immersion, and shared storytelling, creating sessions that feel cinematic, challenging, and deeply personal.

I got started GMing...
I love seeing a table of players come together to tell a story that none of us could have written alone. As a GM, I get to create the framework — the world, the stakes, the structure — but the players bring it to life with their choices and personalities. There’s nothing better than watching a group
How Nick | Teamwork Games runs games
I run games that balance structure with flexibility. I like using clear frameworks — whether that’s session outlines, initiative systems, or time management tools — to keep the story moving and ensure every player gets their moment in the spotlight. But within that structure, there’s always room for creativity, roleplay, and unexpected choices that shape the narrative. Expect a mix of: • 🎭 Character-driven storytelling: Your backstory matters — it connects directly to the world and narrative. • ⚔️ Tactical but purposeful combat: Every encounter fits the story and rewards teamwork. • 🧭 Consistent pacing and tone: The game flows smoothly, even when plans go off the rails. Whether you’re a veteran adventurer or brand new to the tabletop, I focus on making sure everyone feels included, challenged, and part of something memorable. Above all, my goal is for everyone to have fun, feel safe, and walk away excited for the next session.
Nick | Teamwork Games's ideal table
What My Table Is Like My tables are structured but relaxed — the kind of environment where you always know where the story is headed, but there’s plenty of room for player creativity and unexpected twists. I like to keep the game moving with clear frameworks and pacing tools, while still giving players space to roleplay, problem-solve, and explore their characters’ motivations. Who Fits Best at My Table Players who enjoy team-based storytelling, well-paced adventures, and character-driven roleplay tend to fit best at my table. I encourage players to think about who their characters are — their backstories, goals, and personalities — not just their stats and builds. I love when players tie their backgrounds into the world and find ways to collaborate rather than compete. The General Vibe The vibe at my table is friendly, inclusive, and story-focused. I aim for a cinematic experience — moments of tension, humor, and heroism — without ever losing sight of the fun. Rules matter, but the story and the group’s enjoyment always come first. Whether you’re new to tabletop gaming or a veteran of many campaigns, you’ll find a table that’s organized, supportive, and ready for adventure.
