About Daniel
Hello there, i am a bilingual DM from Russia, now living my best life in Vietnam. I have always had a passion for RPG games. PC was my sanctuary for a long long time. And then i have discovered D&D. Started DMing, gathered friends, and that hobby has changed my life. Now i have got experience of almost 2 years DMing, offline and online, bilingual. I have personally brought about 15-20 newbies to the hobby. My highest achievement - gathered a full-english session with a party of 5 Russian girls and a lad by the name of Kevin from Florida, great time. The most important thing for me as a DM is Harmony for everyone playing the session

I got started GMing...
like the most average story from 20th century. Have found myself in Vietnam, new friends, no opportunities to join as a player, got my new friends into the hobby, taught them to play - and now i have 15 players in the pool here!
People are always surprised when I tell them
that you can treat weapons in D&D as tools, "war tools". Level of insight deepness, creative boost and fire of excitement in the eyes of the player - priceless.
When I'm not running games I'm...
I am an English teacher for Vietnamese children, currently staying in Vietnam. Social guy, you might say.
How Daniel runs games
Hey! What kind of character are you thinking about playing? -I DM for 1.5 years now. Had around 100+ sessions, 5th edition. -If you are a new player, I’ve introduced many players to D&D and will guide you through everything you need to start. -My DM style is mastering dynamic, cinematic and logical games. Players often comment about "inside a movie feeling", interesting battle situations. -I am very good with player agendas, players say that a lot. Yet, I do not create chaos on my sessions. -I do voices, improvise a lot, even in structured modules. -My setup is Foundry Vtt, I use animated maps, music, custom tokens (portrait and SRD style). -I run official campaigns and homebrew worlds. -Improvisation, combat balance, player agenda are my strengths. Rules are used flexibly to support cinematic storytelling and player's creativity I run cinematic, story-driven campaigns where player choices shape the world, supported by immersive visuals, dynamic combat, and professional-quality audio. I see myself as a greatest fit for: ✔ Players who want immersion and story ✔ People who enjoy meaningful character arcs ✔ Those looking for a reliable, long-term group ✔ Balanced humor enjoyers Not ideal for: -Pure chaos or meme playstyles -Heavy rules-lawyering over storytelling

My games focus on...
Cinematic experience, dynamics and meaningful interaction with the world and creatures in it. My game is a place where your choices impact everything, and my world can not be broken by unexpected PC's decisions, but will keep living, developing and changing with every step on the journey.
Rules are...
great supportive tool for creativity. Interpretation can be different, but there is always a way to make great believable ideas work mechanically.
When it comes to voices
Voices are great, and i love them. However, i tend to separate voice and actual personality, the juice of the character. So i work on both sides, and always try to balance these two sides of character.
Daniel's ideal table
I tend to make a game based on player's agenda, common sense and meaningful plots. Creativity is the main foundation of experience, and everything else should support that. Harmony inside the party of Players is my main priority. I am the best fit for players who understand that it is a game with a purpose of leisure, great time - but for people, not characters. Characters will have their unique and exciting stories, that will happen for sure. The main goal, however, is for every Player to have a great time. So, support, understanding, teamwork and assistance to each other - this is the way.

I am for a vibe that's...
supporting Harmony inside all participants. We play with people, and people are most important. PC's and their story are supposed to help us feel invested and interested before, during and after the session.
I love it when a player
enjoys collaborative story and lets PC to get into trouble! But even more i love when player comes up with something i would have never guessed to get out of that same trouble!
I think metagaming...
is alright when you understand its purpose and influence on the game. Any decision made can contribute to shared satisfaction. Remember, you are playing with people, not characters.
