I became a GM because
I became a GM because no one else in my groups wanted to, and I craved dedicated roleplay. I love capturing intense character moments, building dynamic worlds full of life, and giving players a fun outlet to tell the creative stories they want.
My favorite books are
Not technically a book, but The Magnus Archives is one of my favorite works ever. Its mix of inventive anthological horror, witty downtime antics, and deeply heart wrenching storytelling makes it unlike anything else.
When I'm not running games I'm...
Working on my game dev project, writing a novel, playtesting my own TTRPG concept, doing commissions, reviewing games, crocheting, or trying to convince my cat that cuddles are mandatory. I keep myself pretty busy when I’m not behind the GM screen.
How Reid runs games
Reid's DMing style is all about immersive roleplay and character exploration. Even in one-shots, players can expect plenty of opportunities to interact with each other and NPCs, encouraging them to embrace their characters fully—silly voices and all! Reid fosters a safe space for experimentation, where every character, no matter how funny and full of whimsy, can face the Horrors™. While he won’t hold your hand through every challenge, he’s there to help you dust yourself off and keep going, always prioritizing what you want to do and how you want to have fun. But sometimes...that fun is traumatizing your character.

I deal with rules issues by...
By communicating. I use safety tools, check in about triggers and unwanted topics, and listen to feedback. My goal is to balance player comfort with preserving the spirit of the game so everyone has fun without losing what makes the system shine.
If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
Hayao Miyazaki—if he were given antidepressants and a warm blanket and wasn't so disillusioned. The spirit of wonder and whimsy, but still carrying the haunting weight of war (with less cynicism, more comfort).
My games focus on...
My games focus on you, the player. Want to raid the goblin camp? Spend a whole session shopping? Pull off wild combat stunts that bend the rules? I’m here for it. My goal is to make space for the stories and moments you’re excited about.
Reid's ideal table
I want players who care about the characters they make—even the silly ones. Love your character Farto the Goblin Slayer. Laugh with him, cry with him, grow with him. My table thrives on connection: between you and your character, your party, and the world we build together. Expect roleplay, humor, and heartfelt moments woven in with the grand adventure before you.

I love it when a player
I love when players bring me mood boards, playlists, backstories, or character art. When a character feels loved and lived in, I’ll happily shape the world around them to reflect that passion.
I think min/maxing...
Min/maxing is hilarious, but it’s your own hubris. If you corner your character, I’ll laugh first—then help you rebalance. We’ve all been there. I’ve played a gloomstalker ranger/assassin rogue who dealt 100+ damage on turn one at level 8, but couldn't do anything else to save her life, so I get it.
My table is not the place for...
My table is not the place for bigots, bullies, or hateful behavior. It’s a safe space for players who need community and escapism in hard times, where respect and kindness matter just as much as the adventure.
