Howdy all! My name is Spagoodlers, I'm a game dev / artist who has released some video games, but I also really enjoy TTPGS. Several years ago I started gravitating towards Cyberpunk and now I run that system almost exclusively. I enjoy using Foundry VTT and have spent a lot of time building Night City there. Come join me, choom.
Heavy focus on character, character development, and overarching plot. I don't see combat as being the "meat and potatoes" of a TTRP, that should be player interaction, and player agency in the world. That said, when the heat does turn up, I love putting my players through the wringer. Combat is done as it is written, but I have optimized my VTT to run those combats expediently to maintain player engagement. I am very concerned with pacing in a session, and will always try to keep each player engaged with the current situation, instead of mired down in lengthy combats, or exposition dumps. Some of my games deal in mature themes, given the Cyberpunk setting lends itself to those themes. Any future player should be prepared for the following in Night City: The world is a cold and unforgiving place, you are likely to die if you aren't intelligent and cautious, you will see things you wouldn't believe if I told you.
