About Illia
I have been playing TTRPGs ever since I was 16. I generally aim for more "human" stories; exploring themes of emotion, existentialism, and power. At my homegame I am known as the person who started the problem of making DMing look like too much fun; as all my friends now want to host their own games. I am a very respectful, accommodating, lively, friendly, and understanding person. I am always keen to teach, guide, and educate. I have introduced many people to the hobby of TTRPGs and boardgames; with many of them now being regulars of the hobby as well! I am currently doing an Honours Degree in Psychology, having a Bachelors of Psychology, Philosophy, and English under my belt. I am currently working as a Research Assistant. Outside of tabletop gaming, my main hobbies are gym and videogames. I have a sweet tooth for the arts, and tend to host short-story writing workshops at my house, as well as making frequent visits to the theatre.

I became a GM because
I discovered my love for creative writing. I have a lot of stories I want to tell, as well as worlds to explore. I love GM-ing so much that I never stopped!
My favorite system of all Time is
Pathfinder 2e; the amount of player choice this system provides is unparalleled. I can go on for ages about how good Pathfinder 2e is. I really like the system because it fits so well with the stories I want to tell.
How Illia runs games
Players can expect a lot of roleplay and high-stakes combat in my games (as that's what the medium is for). Generally I go for darker, more human themes in my stories. I typically do not go for general modern fantasy and like to make my own settings akin to Dimension20.
Illia's ideal table
The people who usually populate my table are people who enjoy mystery and intrigue but also building on a character over time. Generally the people I work with well are "chill" people; as long as you are understanding, a little relaxed, and keen to "buy-in" then you'll be right at home. I generally run quite story heavy games and do not usually run "open-world" games as they are quite aimless. My homegame has spawned so much art and even short stories; according to my players it is because I created a space that made them passionate about their characters.
