About me

Hello! This is Hugo, 10-year GM and life-long storyteller. I cut my teeth on homebrew systems (especially Adeptus Evangelion), but have years of experience playing and running games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Vampire: The Masquerade and more. I'm Mexican-American, and neurodivergent. Both of these deeply affect my outlook on life, and my storytelling. My games frequently touch on themes such as the immigrant experience, altered states of consciousness, and Hispanic culture. I also love science, philosophy and religion, and those three themes will often intersect with my games as well. If you're looking for an action-packed game with more intellectual stimulation than you can shake a stick at, I'm your GM!

GM Style

I love stories revolving around 'average' characters getting caught up in epic adventures with cosmic-level stakes. If you've ever wondered how YOU would react to gaining superpowers and joining the Avengers (for example), that's the experience you can expect at my table. I've also got a deep love and appreciation for science, philosophy and religion. If you love engaging with big ideas about meaning, destiny and death, I'm the GM for you. Finally, I'm Hispanic and neurodivergent. Both are huge influences on my storytelling, and if you fit into or are adjacent to either of those, I'd love to explore those themes with you!
