About Sara Splatter

Hi, I’m Sara (she/her). I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons since 2005 and running games since 2018. I enjoy storytelling, worldbuilding, and creating adventures that balance roleplay, exploration, and combat. My favorite themes are classic fantasy and horror — I love adapting the original Ravenloft adventures for 5e and running stories set in the Forgotten Realms. As a Dungeon Master, I focus on helping players bring their characters to life and watching the story unfold around their choices. I’m patient with newcomers and make sure everyone feels comfortable, included, and has fun. I live in Brooklyn, where I work as both a professional Dungeon Master and a Licensed Veterinary Technician. My games are always LGBTQIA2+ friendly, and intolerance of any kind will never be accepted at my table.

How Sara Splatter runs games

I strive to run friendly, inclusive games and I welcome players of all backgrounds and experience levels. My tables are story-driven and collaborative, where character choices matter and creativity shapes the world. I enjoy storytelling, worldbuilding, and creating adventures that balance roleplay, exploration, and combat while blending mystery, danger, and dark humor, giving each session a mix of tension and fun. My adventures feature detailed maps, rich settings, and cinematic moments that make exploration and roleplay feel alive. I run games using the Dungeons & Dragons 5e (2014) system, set in the Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft.

there for a reason, and I generally stick to them for balanced play. That said, I’ll bend them occasionally—especially in one-shots—to keep newer players engaged, the story flowing, and the game fun! My goal is to make sure players are able to implement all their creative ideas.

My table is very fun and chill but focused. I like games with lots of roleplay, atmosphere, and action, with everyone getting a chance to shine. That said, if you're not that into roleplay there is no pressure for you to go over the top in that regard! I welcome new and experienced players alike, as long as you show up ready to play, stay engaged, and respect the group. I don’t tolerate discrimination, disrespect, arguing, or people that hog the spotlight. We keep things fun, collaborative, and drama-free. You can absolutely joke around (please do) and have a good time, but not at someone else’s expense. Here's what I ask: -Be kind, be cool, and stay present. -Don’t be combative, and don’t rules-lawyer. We’re here to have fun and tell a great story together!
